Orlando is a wonderful destination for families with small children, but it is also a superb destination choice for older couples or groups who are able to travel without their kids or grandkids in tow.

While the theme parks typically seem to be geared towards children and teens, they offer a great number of attractions that will be appealing to the older generation.

Keep in mind, also, that Orlando isn't just home to some of the world's most incredible theme parks.

Orlando also boasts a rich selection of museums, restaurants, and other entertainment choices that are sure to offer plenty of fun and excitement.

Attractions

The Walt Disney World theme parks offer a number of attractions that are ideally suited for guests of all ages.

Some of these attractions could include the attractions offered at Epcot and Animal Kingdom.

Soarin' is one of the attractions that should be on everyone's must-see list.

SeaWorld's animal attractions are a sure way of delighting the young and the young at heart.

Consider taking in a performance at Cirque Du Soleil.

The show is geared towards a more adult audience.

Another great place to splash around is with a visit to Discovery Cove.

This popular attraction has a limit on the number of guests that can enter into the park on any given day, which means that it can often be a much more adult-centric attraction.

Get up close and personal, swimming with the dolphins, in a relaxed and tranquil setting.

Museums

Orlando offers a large number of air-conditioned museums that offer plenty of culture for all ages.

The Orlando Science Center and the Orlando Museum of are two examples of some of the visual feasts available in this city that is so much more than a theme park town.

The Kennedy Space Center is filled with an incredible selection of memorabilia from the space program, and can offer an insight into the monumental achievements of those who were dedicated to space exploration.

Almost all of the theme parks and attractions in Orlando are going to require a fair amount of walking by guests.

If you or members of your party have mobility issues then consider renting a budget-friendly mobility scooter that will make it a lot easier to zip around the parks and attractions you are most interested in.

With beautiful weather year-round, there is no shortage of incredible fun things to do each and every day in Orlando.

Whether hitting one of the world-famous golf courses, enjoying a hot air balloon ride, or taking in the sights and sounds of Orlando with a guided tour of the city, there is something for every senior vacationer to enjoy.
