Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival
One of the biggest signs that spring is in bloom is when it is time for the annual Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival at Walt Disney World.
While Epcot is always beautifully decorated and arranged, it is exceptionally exquisite from today to May 18, 2014 that is when this lovely festival takes place.
This years Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival stars two of our favorite Muppet characters displayed right at the entrance of the showcase.
Greeting guests will be Kermit the Frog with his blooming banjo and a floral Miss piggy.
Another new addition is the topiary of meerkat Timon from "The Lion King."
Nearly 100 Topiaries
What draws guests to this festival year after year is the collection of nearly 100 topiaries, all of which are visually appealing and awe-inspiring.
Many of the topiaries are designed to showcase Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell as well as many other notable favorites.
To give you an idea as to how impressive Epcot appears during this festival, take into consideration these statistics: 30 million blooms, 240 floating flower planters, 700 gardens, almost 100 Disney character topiaries and 30 flower towers are scattered throughout the park for an incredibly vibrant environment.
Food and Beverage Kiosks
Also during the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, guests will be embraced with food and beverage Marketplace Kiosks.
These many kiosks feature delectable dishes made with fresh ingredients and unique techniques.
Some new additions for 2014 will be a Barbecued Chicken Leg and Piggylicious Bacon Cupcakes.
Flower Power Concert
Other notable events include the Flower Power Concert, which occurs every Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the festival.
When the sun sets, the illuminated gardens add a sense of ambiance to the park so you can end your picturesque day at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival on a wonderful note.
