What to do First in Disney World
If you are wondering what to do first when you get to Disney, then you have come to the right place!
With hundreds and hundreds of activities, sights, and things to do at Walt Disney World, it can sometimes be overwhelming.
But in order to enhance your experience, there are a few items that rank above the rest to put at the top of your to do list.
Take it all in
Do not take for granted the beautiful grounds of your resort.
Enjoy the friendly cast members, gorgeous views, free activities, and glistening pools of your resort.
There is no need to rush out of your resort right away.
There is plenty of magic to experience right on sight at each resort with fun activities for the whole family including free movies, campouts, parks, shows, and some of the most delicious meals you will have in all of Disney.
Be sure to check out the firework shows. If you are arriving late in the evening, and do not have time to get to a lot of the attractions in the parks, you can head to the parks at night to enjoy Magic Kingdom's Wishes and Epcot's Illuminations-they are absolutely magical firework shows.
There is nothing else like it.
Even if you do not want to waste park tickets, there are plenty of spaces at many of the resorts and throughout Disney properties where you can see the show from afar.
Visit Cinderella's Castle.
This is an absolute MUST see in Magic Kingdom.
It makes for wonderful pictures as keepsakes, and is just a spectacular sight to see.
Watch your children's faces light up as they get the chance to visit Cinderella's Castle right before their very eyes.
Various shows take place in this area, enhancing the experience.
Check out Disney's BoardWalk.
In order to ease into your Disney trip, a great place to start is at Disney's BoardWalk.
It is small enough to only take up half a day (or less if you choose), has a great group of delicious restaurants, and a gorgeous backdrop.
Children will love the bakeries and ice cream shops, as well as the family bike rides, and character shops.
Minimal walking and the same world class service as the rest of Disney make it special and exciting.
Attend a Character Dining experience.
Perhaps the best way to get all of your child's favorite characters in one place is to schedule a character dining.
Instead of tracking down characters throughout the parks and waiting in endless lines, it is the perfect chance to ensure one on one time between your child and his/her favorite Disney friend!
Your child will receive the chance to get his/her picture taken and a very special autograph to cherish forever.
This is something that they will not forget, and doing this right in the beginning will not only set the tone for the rest of the trip, but save you the time from chasing down characters for the duration of your trip.
Bonus: Character Dining's have some of the most delicious food options in the world!
